Kanawa

Kanawa has started the oyster cultivation business since 1867, and since then it has offered only edible raw oysters. The freshest oysters from the “Kanawa raft” located in the Seto Inland Sea near Ohkurokamijima.The oysters come from clean water that meets the strict standards of Hiroshima Prefecture.

UNESCO World Heritage Site—The Atomic Bomb Dome

At the end of World War II, this building survived miraculously the nuclear impact. In 1996, this structure was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Akiyoshidai Plateau

Japan’s largest karst plateau, born approximately 350 million years ago as a warm, southern sea coral reef. Over the eons, it underwent a transformation into limestone and, through tectonic movements, rose above ground, ultimately shaped by erosion from rainfall into its present-day landscape. The limestone, once a coral reef, now harbors a wealth of marine fossils, allowing you to witness the breathtaking natural beauty and grandeur of a history spanning an awe-inspiring 350 million years.

Akiyoshido Cave

Situated 100 meters below Akiyoshidai Plateau, one of Japan’s premier limestone caves awaits exploration.
